A Bird In The Bush

Learners will participate in the on-going migration monitoring research of the Ruthven Park Bird Banding Station through bird banding and the recording of observations in the field.

Identification of various species of bird through sight and sound will be introduced, as will habitat preferences for the encountered species.

Targeted Age Groups: Grades 7 and 11 (ages 12-17)

Program Length: 2.5 Hours

    B1.2 assess the effectiveness of various ways of mitigating the negative and enhancing the positive impact of human activities on the environment
