Though polar opposites— one drawn to glamour and acting, the other to the reserved and disciplined career in law, both played a role in the evolution of the estate. Reflected in the modernization of the Mansion during their time, each brother and their contrasting taste, shaped Ruthven Park before its transition into the National Historic Site it is today.
